LEARN MOREOur Residential Treatment Program is located in a Behavioral Health Residential Facility, licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services (AZDHS), offering a residential level of care with 24/7 staff monitoring. Program length is based on medical necessity, as determined by our clinical team, every client's timeline is different, and we treat it that way.
Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) meets your needs in the community, making it easier to navigate work or school while accessing care. Our program runs Monday through Friday, virtual and flexible, to meet you where you are in life. Our team is dedicated to addressing your health-risk needs and helping place you in a position of success. Scottsdale Behavioral Health Group has community-based partnerships to help with housing options that could be missing in your life.
Our Residential Treatment Center (RTC) provides structured, 24-hour, clinically supervised behavioral-health services for individuals requiring stabilization and a higher level of care than can be safely or effectively provided in an outpatient setting. Treatment is individualized, trauma-informed, and focused on reducing acute symptoms, improving functional stability, strengthening coping capacity, and supporting a safe transition to a less restrictive level of care. Typical length of stay, based on medical necessity, could be 30-60 days.
Clinical services are delivered through evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Interventions target symptom management, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, behavioral activation, insight development, relapse prevention, treatment engagement, and interpersonal functioning. Exercise, movement, and remediation activities are incorporated as clinically appropriate to support physical wellness, self-regulation, and overall functioning.
The RTC uses a whole-person, recovery-oriented approach that addresses psychiatric, emotional, physical, social, and legal factors that may contribute to instability or interfere with treatment participation. Care coordination and discharge planning begin at admission and focus on reducing barriers to ongoing care, promoting continuity of services, and connecting individuals with appropriate community-based support.

Addiction doesn't show up alone. It's usually tangled up with physical health, mental health, emotions, and sometimes legal pressures all at once, which is why treating just one piece rarely works. Our program is built to address all of it, together.
Getting sober is the starting point, not the whole story, structured support for withdrawal, cravings, and staying in recovery.
Our medical team monitors physical health and manages medications on-site.
Ongoing care from a psychiatric provider means mental health is treated alongside everything else.
Individual and group therapy help you work through what’s underneath the substance use.
We help keep documentation and progress updates on track so recovery and legal responsibilities move forward together.
Sobriety is a requirement to enter our program. Withdrawal can be difficult and, with substances like alcohol, fentanyl, or heroin, medically risky. If you're currently under the influence but ready for treatment, Scottsdale Behavioral Health Group can arrange admission to a trusted detox community partner first, where your new journey begins, with medication-assisted therapy to ease withdrawal symptoms.
Every client gets a personalized treatment plan, shaped by continued check-ins with a medical provider and supported through individual therapy, group therapy, and mental health counseling. Your plan changes as you do, recovery isn't a straight line, and neither is good care.
Our program is designed to help you build confidence and learn from the people around you, in a safe, secluded, clean, and private setting. We also offer bilingual (English/Spanish) support and individualized accommodations, because good care meets people where they are.
